Who is Le Skin Club?

Le Skin Club is a family owned Canadian skincare brand founded in Calgary, Alberta. We formulate, produce, and package our products locally, working closely as a small family team. We do not outsource manufacturing, import finished products, or white label formulas. Everything is made intentionally, in house, with full transparency.

Where are your products made?

All Le Skin Club products are made in Alberta, Canada. We do not manufacture overseas or outsource production. From formulation to filling, everything is done locally so we can maintain strict quality control and consistency.

Why tallow skincare?

Our grass fed tallow is sourced from Alberta ranchers who prioritize ethical and sustainable farming practices. We choose ingredients intentionally and source as locally as possible, avoiding unnecessary imports and mass supply chains.

Tallow is a deeply nourishing, skin compatible ingredient that closely mirrors the natural lipids found in healthy skin. It is rich in vitamins A, D, E, and K and supports the skin barrier rather than disrupting it. We chose tallow because it works, not because it is trendy.

What skin types is tallow balm best for?

Our tallow balms are suitable for most skin types, including dry, sensitive, acne prone, and mature skin. Many customers with eczema, rosacea, or compromised skin barriers find tallow especially supportive due to its simplicity and nutrient density.

Will tallow clog my pores?

Tallow is non comedogenic for most people and closely resembles the skin’s natural oils. When used correctly, a small amount goes a long way and absorbs deeply without sitting heavy on the skin.

Does tallow smell like beef?

No. Properly rendered, high quality tallow has a very mild, neutral scent. Any scented products use essential oils, while unscented options retain only a faint, natural aroma that dissipates quickly after application.

How long does a jar last?

Because our balms are highly concentrated, a little goes a long way. Most customers find one jar lasts several months with regular use.

All orders ship from Calgary, or Airdrie Alberta, Canada.

How long does shipping take?

Orders are typically processed within 1 to 3 business days. Shipping within Canada usually takes 2 to 6 business days depending on location. You will receive tracking as soon as your order ships.

Quality & Safety

Do you use preservatives?

No. Our products are made without synthetic preservatives. Because of this, our shelf life is shorter than conventional skincare, which is a tradeoff we intentionally accept to keep formulas clean and natural.

How should I store my tallow balm?

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct heat. For long term storage, refrigeration is recommended. If stored in the fridge, allow the balm to soften at room temperature before use.

Do you test on animals?

Never. We are cruelty free and do not test on animals.

Sustainability & Ethics

Is tallow a sustainable ingredient?

Yes. Tallow is one of the most sustainable skincare ingredients available. It is a natural byproduct of the meat industry. Before being used in skincare, these fat trimmings were often discarded as waste. By using tallow, we are giving purpose to something that already exists, reducing waste rather than creating new demand.

Does using tallow contribute to animal harm?

No. Our tallow is sourced from animals raised for food, not for skincare. No animals are raised or harmed specifically for tallow balm. Using tallow allows us to fully respect the animal by utilizing more of what is already produced, rather than letting it go to waste.

Is tallow better for the environment than plant based alternatives?

In many cases, yes. Tallow does not require additional farmland, heavy irrigation, or monocrop agriculture. Unlike some plant oils that are imported and resource intensive to produce, tallow repurposes existing material from local food systems, resulting in a lower environmental footprint.
